The Game of Blackjack

Blackjack is one of the games that millions of players around the world have enjoyed for years. Along with luck, you will also need to arm yourself with a certain skill to juggle all the existing strategies: the result of a hand, in fact, can be transformed thanks to the use of a technique suited to your bankroll and your skill with the cards. You will understand, therefore, that a good knowledge of this fantastic game could help you make your winnings at the casino table very profitable.

Blackjack was born in France in the 17th century and landed in the United States, where it takes its current name (the Italian translation is, precisely, "black jack") and includes a variant that, nowadays, is no longer available: in the event that a player had managed to accumulate 21 points thanks to only two cards, that is an ace and a jack of spades, then he would have been paid ten times the stakes.

Basically, blackjack is one of the casino games of chance and takes place between the dealer (ie the dealer who is represented by the same casino) and the players sitting at the same table. The goal is to achieve a score with your cards that does not exceed 21 but is still higher than that formed by the dealer.Usually, two decks of French cards are used to play this game (the precise number is 104) which are placed in a shoe, which can automatically shuffle them once or continuously. Each card has a certain value in terms of points:

The ace is worth 11 or 1 point
Figures (J, Q and K) are worth 10 points
The other cards are worth their face value.

The suits (clubs, spades, diamonds and hearts) have no value for the purpose of the game and the sum of the points collected will be calculated with a simple addition.

The game begins when the players place the bet and the dealer distributes the cards to each player, from left to his right, and then gives the last to himself, that is the dealer. Once the first distribution of cards has taken place, the dealer will distribute another round of cards at the end of which he will read the score obtained by each player: whoever is at the table can choose which move to implement, whether to ask for another card or stand , depending on what he believes is best for his situation.
